D and L Studios would like to thank Sagebrush Ranch Horse Association and the Lassen County Fair for allowing us to photograph the events of the 2017 Lassen County Fair Horse Show. It was our second year photographing the horse show, and it was truly an honor. Thank you!
This year’s show consisted of two full days of various horse classes ranging from English Classes, Western Classes, Halter Classes, Gymkhana Classes, and Western Performance Classes. Riders competed for ribbons, belt buckles, handmade cinches, and other highly coveted prizes.
This photo is from one of the Gymkhana Classes called Cloverleaf Barrels, or more commonly known as Barrel Racing. A horse and rider attempt to complete a cloverleaf pattern around three barrels, while racing the clock. The rider with the fastest time is the winner.
