Janesville Park Arena was the site for the Fully Woolly Fun Day that kicked off the Honey Lake Valley Riders Association 2016 events schedule. The fun day was open to teens and younger, and consisted of Barrel Racing, Pole Bending, Cupid’s Arrow, and the Fully Woolly contest. Fully Woolly is where each horse is judged by the fullness and length of their winter coat. The rider of the woolliest horse won a special ribbon, and was crowned the Fully Woolly champion for 2016!
The Honey Lake Valley Riders Association has a full calendar for the upcoming season. If you get the opportunity to see them in action, I urge you to do so. The events are free for anyone to attend. Please contact HLVR if you are interested in becoming a member and a participant.
